Mebendazol
XP Professional SP3 don't assign letter to removable USB drive, though:- it's properly detected and hardware works normally (changing ports or flash drives gives no result, on other PCs flash drives operate normally),- I have no network or external drives, so I found no precedent on microsoft.comThis problem began when I repaired current XP installation with setup.I can assign a letter to removable USB through disk management. Then I browse flash drive with Total Commander (explorer this way has a setback - it can write on the flash drives only files/folders with dos-names)But such rigmarole is inconvenient, so I would be greatful if someone can advise me a way to fix this without reinstalling XP. Mebendazol
Problem solved. It was caused by ScsiPassThrough-driver (SPTD) installed with Daemon Tools. It went wrong after repairing XP. Details in this forum
