Recovery Partition

make sure you know where the recovery partition is.

it's best to use the live cd, have a look at the disc first and identify the recovery partition (if you have difficulties with that post a screenshot in the ubuntu forums)

during installation when you reach the disc parting part, DO NOT choose "erase entire disc" , instead go for "specify partitions manually", look at the screenshot I attached. Again if you have a problem with that, the installer allows you to go online and ask for support ( google, irc, forums etc).post-4283-127381416847_thumb.png

okay thanks. I'm Currently dual booting Vista and Ubuntu 10.04 I almost never use Vista while on my netbook (uses too much resources)
