Win2008 server RAS gives dial-in client no gateway

Recommended Posts

Greetings,

I live where there is no high speed (or any) service available, so if I have to manage my servers from home, I must do so via dial up. I have not had any problems doing this until migrating to Win2008 server. I am now able to connect and get an IP address, but am unable to ping any address other than the RAS server's and the client's and cannot get to the local network or any other subnet. I imagine there is a simple fix, but I've beat my head on this for close to a day now with no results.

Ipconfig lists the subnet as 255.255.255.255 and the Default Gateway is blank, also, I am using a static IP pool rather than DHCP.

Can anyone please let me know how to let the client know where the gateway lives?

Thanks in advance...
