I needed to search my flash drive for a file last week and the windows search system wouldn't let me do this because the drive was not indexed. So I figured out how to add the flash drive to the indexing service and was able to find the file I needed. The next day when I tried to use the drive in another system the complete flash drive was 256 3GB files with file names of all sigma symbols and all of my data files were gone (course the flash drive is only 8GB so I'm not sure how we get a 915GB list). I am now trying to figure out how to recover the files. I have lots of very important information on the flash drive that is only kept there. I tried removing the indexing service on the drive, no help, I have tried rebuilding the indexes, no help. I have tried some recovery tools and NO HELP.
