Windows 7 Professional Upgrade - 32 bit

Recommended Posts

A windows 7 upgrade requires proof of eligibility. This can be done by installing W7 on a machine that already has a qualifying version installed (XP in your case) or you can clean install and at some point in the process you will be required to insert the XP disc.

By using the first method, you retain a copy of the XP installation in case you need to revert. This can be deleted at a later date when you are happy with the new version.

I strongly advise that you have a full system backup or clone of you current setup before attempting any of this - just in case of accident.
