It's not the black bars that I am talking about...It's been haunting me for a few years now... on different computers... when i finally started to search for an answer, I didn't find a similar issue, maybe it's the keywords I used. (On the dividing line)You can alter the icon view from "Groups" to "Auto Arrange" by going to: View / Arrange Icons by, unticking "Arrange by Groups, and the putting a tick in the box that says "Auto Arrange".
