Alan2273
Normally you would put the XP CD in your drive and from the repair console you would run the command fixmbr and possibly fixboot.By wiping 98se you have destroyed the MBR, that is why you cannot access XP.Normally it writes the MBR to the C drive so with XP being on another drive it may work or may not.As you are used to installing operating systems, if those commands do not give you access to XP, you can download a Linux live CD (Linux Mint or PCLOS2010), and retrieve the XP information that you want to save, to a back up drive,.then format and do a fresh install of XP
ɹəuəllıʍ ʇɐb
Do you have a boot.ini file on your C: drive? If yes, what's in it?If not, put one there.See http://support.microsoft.com/kb/289022/ on the contents of the file.
