venggp
Hello, This seems to be very simple problem, yet taking long time to resolve it. I want to run an exe file residing in a shared folder on Windows 2003 Server machine. I am using an XP machine here to access the shared folder. I am able to run the exe without any problem but when I access it on another machine simultaneously, it gives me this error: 'The instruction at "0x00404916" referenced memory at "0x01103360". The memory could not be "read".'Looks like the server is locking the multi-user access to execute - or something that I cannot understand. I asked some other people also but could not get any help. Can anyone throw some ideas on this? Is there any setting that to enable this? Because I tried it sometime before and it worked on a different machines. Syndrose
This sometimes depends on the actually program that it is running. Some programs will lock themselves if they are specifically designed to only be ran by a single user. What program is it if you don't mind me asking.
