This is my first http server setup on a windows machine, so bear with me. Here is what the situation is right now:

1. Thus far http request to the server are fine

2. https requests are failing, i receive according to the packet traces a tcp reset right after the client key exchange.

I guess it would help if I knew where to start looking for logs, I do not current see anything in the event errors or failed logs in the inetpub/logs folder.

did you import a certificate? you will need one, either from an internet source, or if it is internal, you need a certificate server (a windows server feature that can be installed on any server) and issue one for internal use.

It will then need to be imported into the IIS server.

Also, if you could include the error message you get from the browser when trying to connect to the HTTPS page that would help, it might just be the fact that the firewall on the server is blocking that port.
