Krenzathal Posted September 8, 2010 Report Share Posted September 8, 2010 Hi there all!I'm trying to set up a dual boot system on my machine but I'm not sure how to go about it! I have recently upgraded my PC with a new motherboard, processor, ram and second hard drive.I want to keep my old hard drive for films, games and general rubbish and my new hard drive is to be exclusively for music recording & production.I have my new copy of windows 7 home premium on my new hard drive already and I still have another instance of windows 7 ultimate on my old hard drive and I would like to have the option of switching between them on startup, but I am unsure as to how to do this.My windows 7 on my old drive is 32bit while the rest of my system is 64bit. Most instances of dual boot systems that I've come across have one O/S just sitting there doing nothing except take up hard drive space.What I would do, indeed, what I have done in the past, is to delete the secondary O/S and use the space for extra storage. Plus I may split the drives for use in different machines in the future so this is the best way! Both systems will be used frequently, trust me!So how do I go about doing this?
