Andy Dixon Posted September 16, 2010 Report Share Posted September 16, 2010 Hi Everyone,I work in an organisation which has roughly 40 client PCs, all running Windows XP, that access a Windows 2003 server. We've now got the task of switching these client PCs to a new server, running Windows 2008 R2.The new server and OS is up and running, and we're able to log a user on from multiple XP machines with a roaming profile.What we can't do currently is get folder re-direction working. We've followed all the instructions that we've been able to find, and we're pretty confident that our GPO is set up correctly, and that our server share has the correct permissions. Rather than re-direct our selected folders to our specified shared folder, created files and folders are instead being written back to the user profile.We've enabled verbose logging but cannot find any useful pointers in the event viewer.I've read stuff suggesting we need to do some work within NETLOGON as part of the process, but we're not sure whether this is necessary and hence haven't done anything in this area yet.We're now at the pulling hair out stage, so any pointers would be appreciated.Cheers,Andy Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
