keithdean
Hello. On my first hard drive ( C drive) ) I have Vista installed and I would like to install Windows 7 on my new second hard drive ( L drive). I would then like to delete Vista and boot from Windows 7 ( using first hard drive for storage only). Can I do that in the install of Windows 7. Will the Windows 7 drive then be " C" drive. Need help thanks
Alan2273
The answer is no, your master boot record will be on the C drive so if you install Win 7 on the second drive and wipe Vista your computer will not boot.It will be better to back up all your important information then install Win 7 onto your C drive. There are ways of getting round this using the Ultimate Boot CD, but you need to know what you are doing./>http://www.ultimatebootcd.com/
