Freezing Problem

my computer freezes on start-up, I have windows 7 home premium, it goes through the user/password process, and begins to load. It will go to my desktop and start loading everything for about 10 seconds or so before it completely freezes. The problem started when I noticed my sound wasn't working, the realtek high definition audio controller driver said it's a code 10.

So far I've tried to update the driver, both automatically and manually, even when I uninstall then reinstall it installs and says there was an error trying to install it. I ran malwarebytes, got rid of all that, went into msconfig and unchecked everything so only the basics start with the start-up, and i'm still not sure what the problem is. I even did seperate system restores, one to the previous day, and another from a few weeks back, and the problem is still occuring.

Any help or ideas would be awesome.

Thanks,

Brian

Check what start up programs you have, then disable them all reboot. if that fixes issue start one by one to find the one causing the issue.

uninstall that driver for now. and get it from here if you already didnt: http://218.210.127.131/downloads/downloadsView.aspx?Langid=1&PNid=14&PFid=24&Level=4&Conn=3&DownTypeID=3&GetDown=false
