GSA190 Posted December 2, 2010 Report Share Posted December 2, 2010 I customized my dock. I removed all of the default icons and added my own icons.1. When I tried to re-arrange my custom icons, they disappear. I can't find them on my desktop or in the start menu. I have to search the files to find the program.2. When I restart my computer, all of my custom icons on the dock are gone and replaced with the default icons. I would like my custom icons to remain there when I restart my computer and I would LOVE if they didn't disappear when I try to re-arrange them. Thanks in advance! Thanks in advance!Problem with .ICO files is that a folder's icon relies on a stationary .ICO to remain the same.The path to the .ICO image must coincide with the actual .ICO.If the .ICO file is deleted or placed elsewhere,a folder will not find the .ICO at boot and will revert back to default.I have a folder where I keep all of my cusyom .ICO files.I do not move this folder.When I create a new folder,I point to an icon in my .ICO folder to show on the folder I created.Works great and I have yet to have issues with this setup.Hope this helps....
