How to install HyperTerminal?

Recommended Posts

Hey,

How do I install HyperTerminal on windows?

The following guide said me this:

---------------------------------

To install HyperTerminal

Open Add or Remove Programs in Control Panel.

Click Add/Remove Windows Components.

Click Accessories and Utilities, then click Details.

Click Communications, then click Details.

Select the HyperTerminal check box, and then click OK.

But I can't find the 'Add or remove programs' and the 'Add/Remove Windows components' does anybody got any idea?

Thanks in advance.

HOW TO SET UP WINDOWS HYPER TERMINAL

you didn't specify which os.

hope this helps.

EDIT;

MISS READ, what OS do you have; in win 7 go to START > CONTROL PANEL > AT THE BOTTOM LEFT YOU SHOULD HAVE PROGRAMS?

make sure it is set by view by catergory at top right.

I see 'Programs' yes but I don't see View by category :\

EDIT:

Yes its on View by category... And now?

also Try "Turn Windows features on or off" too

if that fails;

go to command prompt > right click > run as administrator > type in > SFC /SCANNOW hit enter and let it scan then reboot.

I have the same that you showed on your screen, but where do I find HyperTerminal?

I can't find this:

3. Click Accessories and Utilities, then click Details.

And all the next steps

Sorry just seen your edited post :rolleyes: under programs click on uninstall that will take you to all programs that you have instaled on computer and just highlight what you want to install, easy way > right click and select uninstall.

edit;

have a look in START > PROGRAMS > HYPER TERMINAL > AND LOOK FOR UNINSTALL IN THE FOLDER.

Ok wait, let me clear some things up.

I have WINDOWS 7 and I want to INSTALL HyperTerminal (However I thought that you had HyperTerminal by default just like for example Paint or Notepad) but I can't find it anywhere so thats why I want to download it. The link you gave me is not for Windows 7.

EDIT:

The last links is for Windows 7, yes, but it has nothing to do with HyperTerminal?

It wont be for windows 7 as when you mentioned Hyper terminal i automatically assumed you had XP

you dont need that for windows 7 when you have "Network and Sharing Center in Windows 7"

when posting you must specify on what OS your using even if you are posting in a windows 7 forum just so there is no confusing from the start like what happened here.
