crazyboot23 Posted February 26, 2011 Report Share Posted February 26, 2011 Hello,I have installed multiple operating systems before, but usually I do it first, before installing other volumes and partitions, and have had no problem. Right now I have two drives, one for XP and one for data. I would like to add Vista to XP because some programs require a 64-bit operating system. The problem is that, because of the many partitions I have now, the new Vista partition has to be assigned to drive O (or higher). Will this impose any problem. I can't easily change the drive letter assignments because my XBMC media center libraries will not work with the changed drive letters, so I would need to do a ton of work manually importing new images for the movies for the new shares. ɹəuəllıʍ ʇɐb Posted February 27, 2011 Report Share Posted February 27, 2011 That depends on what boot manager you use.Some boot managers hide other bootable partitions while booting one OS, thus the booted OS partition will always be the C: drive.Other boot managers will keep all partitions visible, and therefore leave all drive letters untouched.
