Morrissey Posted October 2, 2003 Report Share Posted October 2, 2003 you can get the same spec drive for £74 inc from Scanbut i wouldn't recommend these drives for 2 main reasons;1, they dont accept DVD-RAM discs in their caddys, which means the media may be far less reliable than they could be,2, between the 2 main formats - & +, ive found -R/RW to be much more fussy about media, slower and less reliable for DVD-Video recording.as a side note you can get the NEC1300-/+ (4x) for just £89 inc from SVPive had DVD-RAM for nearly 3 years, and a dual-format for 8 months, so my comments are from experience.
