rockinlooks
Hi Guys,My brother upgraded to Windows 7 sometime back and everything was just perfect for the first two days. However, on the third day he cleaned his laptop fan and took out DVD-Rom from his laptop and placed it back then. Afterwards, when he restarted his laptop, there was a Red Cross on Speakers and it said "No Audio Output Device is installed".. He restarted it a couple of times and even then, nothing doing.. We thought that maybe there was a wire issue and took it to a local repair shop.. He opened it and said everything is fine.. No loose wires and no damaged wires... According to him, its a Software issue..So we came back.. Re-installed his Driver and even then no Sound.. Then the next day when he started his laptop, there was a SOUND.. But that too for a very short time.. Since then, he has tried almost everything, be it Editing his Registry and deleting some UpperFilters etc, reinstalling drivers in Compatibility mode as Windows Vista Service Pack 2(as he was using that earlier) or opening his system again and again..My friend suggested a Re-installation of Windows 7 because he thinks that Registry is now messed up so only formatting the system will do..System Configurations:Acer Aspire 5520AMD Turion 64 x2 Mobile Technology TL-58 1.9Ghz2 Gb DDR2 RaMNvidia Geforce 7000M Windows 7 Professional 32-bitWhen he was using Vista, his audio driver was of Realtek..Any help?? ɹəuəllıʍ ʇɐb
I think installing the correct driver will solve the problem; try http://drivermax.com/ (use the free version that allows up to two driver downloads per day).
