zainka
Hi Internet explorer, and most other browsers allows you to enter an ftp address in the browsers address bar to open and view the ftp server. This allows you to see the servers contents and also download contents. But, is it possible to uppload files using the browser? I know you can install plugins in some browsers which actually installs a full ftp client but this is not wath I am looking for. Reason for asking is that within the network I am working from ftp protocoll has been blocked by some reasons, so a normall ftp client wont work. I guess the browser use something like ftp over http and questions is if one can uupload also over this interface.... Thus, now you understand that the plugins wont work. So Is it possible? ɹəuəllıʍ ʇɐb
The answer, of course, is no. If FTP protocol has been blocked (why, I wonder?), then you shouldn't even be allowed to use ftp:// on a browser. But even if you can use the FTP protocol on a browser, it can only be used for download. Anyway, I am really curious why FTP is blocked on your network. I cannot imagine any reason for that...
