Performance Monitoring Report Problem

Hello,

I am using Reliability & Performance Monitor Utility (perfmon), to Record my bandwidth usage, but i have a problem with this utility reports.

Note: When i use "perfmon" to monitor the bandwidth, it works Correctly (the problem is when i record it)

I did Define a Data Collector Set, and this Collector start Recording, and as I notes that you cant check your report until you stop the collector.

The Problem is; that report is always empty, what ever i added to the collector.

These are my steps: (I am using win vista):

1. perfmon.exe

2. Data Collector Sets > User Defined > Right-click > new data collector set

3. Create manually > create data logs > Check Performance counter

4. Add > Network interfaces > " I click on <all instances> to make sure that i don't miss the right adapter.

5. click Add >> Press Ok.

6. Next > Finish.

The Collector status is "Running", and the report status is"Collecting Data" ..

but after i stop the collector, the report appears Empty. !!

Any ideas ? is this utility really so such reports ? do I am Missed some thing !

perfmon /report isn't reliable for collecting data for bandwidth and really shouldn't be used for doing so IMO I don't know of anyone that uses the performance report for bandwidth data.
