webwannabee
I have just installed the Windows Server 2008 Standard, into a new server (has nothing else in it, just the Server OS). I have in the past managed to host a website using WAMP and LAMP. Have to admit I have no clue what to do with the Windows Server, as it is different than the LAMP or WAMP, which came with all the MySql, PHP, Apache etc, already included and configured. I want to be able to host about 4 different websites, namely Joomla CMS websites, so they need the MySql, PHP etc. I have tried reading a few tutorials that start off talking about 'root domains' and such and I get totally lost. Can someone help me step by step, do you think? I have purchased the domains already, and a business itnernet line as well as my own static IP, now all I have to do is figure out Windows! Thanks for any help :)
ɹəuəllıʍ ʇɐb
Since you already know WAMP, then why don't you install some WAMP or WIMP package on your Windows Server and get started? On the other hand - while not trying to sound rude - why not get into a different line of business?
