I have Norton Utility v15 installed on my computer, should I run "Performance Information and Tools" before or after the Optimized (by running the Norton Utility) system? What will it happen if I run "Performance Information and Tools" right after i run Norton Utiity v15, and use the system for a long time without using NU v15 to Optimize my computer? Thanks. There are far too many variables involved to generalise what would happen to your particular computer as opposed to a thousand other computers.Registry settings/Applications installed, etc;etc. To get a satisfactory answer, run your own test. I'm not going to say that you should. No more than I would say that you should get rid of Norton Utilities and use freeware. If you want to double up optimization and diagnostic results and then perceive that your computer is going better, - who am I to argue with you ? The placebo effect is still a wonderful "Unknown". I think that everyone should "Sandbox" their operating systems with stuff like, Shadow Protect, Returnil, Timefreeze, or run their operating systems in a VM virtual environment. The "Snake Oil" salesmen at Norton probably wouldn't agree with me though. I dont want to tell people what to do. Just try to show them the options. The best teacher is the receptive pupil. If you choose to advise people on what they could or should do, you must then give them individual choice as to what they actually would want to do.
