Hi everyone~

I have one very improtant account in a Windows Vista 32 bit got loop login and log off problem.

Which means when I choose the account at welcome screen, it immediately log off the account and the screen turn black. After 3-4 sec, it loop back to welcome screen.

What I had done these 2 days:

1.Google it, most of the answer is about userinit.exe path in registy.(checked and no need to change "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\WindowsNT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon" ) the userinit.exe last modify date was year 2008 and 25kb, it seems not replaced by the virus.

2.Use anti-virus programme to search, a paid NOD32 version 4 with lattest defination, no virus found.

3.Check all the registy value with path contain "winlogon" and compare with a new account. no luck.

4.Login in safe mode with that account.

I can login and use hijack this to check. No suspect process was found.

check start up sevice with msconfig, no suspect service found.

Check registy and start up run process, no suspect value found

5.No system restore point, or backup registry

6.Creat a new account in safe mode with admistrator rights, no problem with the new account.

If any further suggetions are welcome while that account had lots of customized config, I don't want to use a new account for replacement.

Trouuble shoot is painful, but I want to learn more and share...

Thanks alot for reading this.

After many attempts, I surrender and just create another user account.

But another Vista PC got the same problem. But that PC is newly install and installed a few programmes.

Firefox 10, avast anti-virus and 7zip. It happened after fully updated (some patches install fail need to install at restart).

I tried to fix it and just login in safe mode and create a new account.
