Freezes can be caused by all manner of things, installed software being one of them.I would suggest firstly looking at "Event Viewer" to see if you can ascertain where the problem lies.Dont forget that on the forum here we have some excellent video guides by Microsoft MVP Mike Halsey on the subject of Windows 7 troubleshooting.
