casabanderas
Last year I bought a new Sony Vaio in the UK. I came complete with Windows 7 Home. When I move pictures to a directory on my hard disk, either from another source or simply from another directory I find a new sub directory in the target directory with the photos name xxxxxxxx.jpg.file as the sub directories name. In the new subdirectory there are 2 new copies of the photo much smallerin size and with unusual names e.g. vcm_s_kf_m160_160x120 .jpg and vcm_s_kf_repr_832x624.jpg. these names indicating the size of the new files. These additional folders are frustrating me no end and are consuming much energy in deleting them. I do not know what program is responsible. "months ago I upgraded to windows 8 Pro but the problem still exists. Can anyone help me identify this in order to remove it or is it perhaps some worm. I use Norton 360 to guard against viruses. ɹəuəllıʍ ʇɐb
Welcome to the Windows Forum! From where are you moving your pictures, and how do you move them?I usually move pictures from my camera to the target folder using Windows Explorer; simply drag-and-drop - this way the photos end up where I want them, and no additional images are generated.
