Explorer.exe has stopped responding...

Hi there.

There can be many reasons for Explorer not responding, one being "Malware" (Virus, Trojan etc.) so make sure that your anti-virus is up to date and scan the computer. One other likely reason is missing or corrupted files and installed shell extensions.

You can also Download and run Malwarebytes in safe mode to clear any other "Nasties" that are lurking.

Try to do a system restore back to a time before the problem occurred if possible.

Run SFC /SCANNOW and if that doesn't do the trick, carry out a "Repair Install"
