ideathhead Posted February 11, 2013 Report Share Posted February 11, 2013 Hi, whenever I click on the 'show all icons' on the bottom right on Windows 7, then my explorer.exe stops responding and the taskbar just refreshes again! MANEMAN Posted February 11, 2013 Report Share Posted February 11, 2013 Hi there.There can be many reasons for Explorer not responding, one being "Malware" (Virus, Trojan etc.) so make sure that your anti-virus is up to date and scan the computer. One other likely reason is missing or corrupted files and installed shell extensions.You can also Download and run Malwarebytes in safe mode to clear any other "Nasties" that are lurking.Try to do a system restore back to a time before the problem occurred if possible.Run SFC /SCANNOW and if that doesn't do the trick, carry out a "Repair Install"If you are unsure about any of these procedures, don't worry, we have some excellent videos here on the forum which will guide you through nearly all of the trouble shooting procedures and fixes that you are likely to need for Windows 7You can find them here:(1) - http://forums.window...showtopic=48268(2) - http://forums.window...showtopic=48409Worthwhile having on your desktop also is a link to Windows 7 tutorials and fixes.
