Lucidnightmare
My friend upgraded to windows 8 on his Toshiba Satellite M505-s4940 and said he can't get his wireless to work. After looking into it a little I found that Toshiba doesn't support that model for Windows 8. The wireless card is a Realtek RTL8192E and they don't seem to have an windows 8 driver for that model either. My question is can I substitute a different driver and get it to work? If not is there any way to undo the upgrade? It wasn't a clean install he upgraded 7 to 8.
Boris
Have you tried the windows 7 driver for the RTL8192E ?
Lucidnightmare
That did work... I assumed that the driver would have came over in the install... However, the drivers on Toshiba's website did not work. I had to go to Realtek's website. Thanks for your help!!!
