NORTHERNER
I installed a new wireless router to my amd 2800+ Desktop a Dlink 857 and it is working perfectly with all my computers that connect to the wireless router - but on my main desktop which is an older 2800+ I can connect to the internet but I'm not getting certain sites like Yahoo.ca (I'm in Canada} and my Credit Union. Yet website like Mozilla and Ebay open fine. I have tryed both Internet Explorer and Firefox, I would of tryed Chrome but although I can get on Google, it will not let me download Chrome. I tryed running with and without the firewall as well as reinstalling all the router software. I have been running Window XP but when this problem occurred I did a new install and update from Windows XP to Windows 7 Ultimate and low and behold I have all the same issues. Computer runs great and wireless is also running great but on this computer with direct modem/router connection I'm having the same internet challenges. My wife wishes to use this computer for her shopping etc. so it is imparative I have a fully functioning internet connection on it. Sa it is we can not even access her email except on one of our other computers. Any ideas????? I have written Dlink but I think it may be a Windows / internet direct issue - wep and all access codes are perfect and I'm at a loss here. Any and all help appreciated !!!!!!!!!! northerner
ɹəuəllıʍ ʇɐb
I'm not getting certain sites ... What exactly does that mean; can you be a little bit more specific? Have you tried (tryed) clearing the DNS cache?
