Well, if the programs you install are 32-bit, then they are 32-bit; you cannot change them into 64-bit.



Some programs will automatically install the 64-bit version on a 64-bit system (e.g. CCleaner, Photoshop, etc.); others will automatically install both 32-bit and 64-bit (e.g. Flash Player), and yet others you have to manually install either 32-bit, or 64-bit, or both (e.g. Java Runtime).



The only web browser that comes in both 32-bit and 64-bit is Internet Explorer. Others, like Firefox, have independent 64-bit compiles, e.g. Cyberfox or Waterfox.
