redon Posted August 18, 2013 Report Share Posted August 18, 2013 i have windows 8 64 bit but every program that i install is 32 bit , like google chrome 32 bit , max payne 3 32 bit etc , why this is happening i am 1000000% sure my pc is 64 bit , how to fix this problem ? ɹəuəllıʍ ʇɐb Posted August 19, 2013 Report Share Posted August 19, 2013 Well, if the programs you install are 32-bit, then they are 32-bit; you cannot change them into 64-bit. Some programs will automatically install the 64-bit version on a 64-bit system (e.g. CCleaner, Photoshop, etc.); others will automatically install both 32-bit and 64-bit (e.g. Flash Player), and yet others you have to manually install either 32-bit, or 64-bit, or both (e.g. Java Runtime). The only web browser that comes in both 32-bit and 64-bit is Internet Explorer. Others, like Firefox, have independent 64-bit compiles, e.g. Cyberfox or Waterfox.
