Can we increase system PATH variable size from 2047 to higher number?

Windows experts,

I would like raise a question on system PATH variable.

Can we increase system PATH variable size from 2047 to higher number?

Explanation for my question:

• Our BI servers has lot of applications with 32-bit drivers in the past and which never had a issue with system PATH variable limitation and we are using Windows 2008 R2 servers.


• Now all the applications started loading with 32-bit and 64-bit drivers and we ran out of system PATH variable size


• We have introduced Junction parameters to reduce PATH variable sizes, still we require to couple of hundred bytes to accommodate all existing software's with 32 and 64 bit drivers.

Does Microsoft allows to increase PATH variable size from 2047 to 2500?
