littlebigman
Hello Booting off a Linux USB keydrive, I managed to recover a friend's very important files. To make sure this doesn't happen again, I need to find a super easy backup application that'll run on her Windows (8) laptop. Off the top of my head, here are some must-have features:- very simple to configure and restore files- runs once a day at a scheduled time; if computer is off at that time, runs the next time Windows is run- keeps last three versions of each file- can backup files to USB external disk and remote server (FTP, rsync, cloud, etc.)- affordable, for SOHO use Since she doesn't much computer skills, I'm concerned of her computer getting a virus that'll wipe out all the files, both in Windows, on her external drive, and the remote servers. I don't know if there's a good solution for that, other than booting off a Linux USB keydrive, connect the external drive, backup files, disconnect, and reboot Windows. What software would you recommend I check? I personally use SyncBackSE, but it's too complicated for her. Thank you.
-pops-
There is a backup program included in Windows. I, and many others here, use Acronis.
