on247
My 5-6+ years old Dell Inspirion won’t boot. Sometimes it just starts the fans and beeps a couple of times before it dies. In the past it has always worked to pull out the power cord and let the machine stand unplugged for a while. One time that trick didn’t work. I unplugged it, reseated the ram and used an air blower to clean out the dust. After that the machine worked again. It has been working for two months now. This morning it didn’t work. So in addition to reseating the ram and air blowing, I also reseated the video card and changed the battery on the motherboard. I had to change some bios settings and go trough a disk check, but everything is working again. Yey! But for how long? Any tips about this? How can I get my computer to last for longer than two months at a time? Thanks in advance. On247
