If you install Registry Robot - Ziff-Davis PC Mag free utility

Under Windows Explorer - Appearance - It lets you change the drive icons for C D E +F to whatever you want by browsing.

So for any fixed drives - the registry entries it affects would appear to be ?

e.g for C

In Registry key HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\explorer\driveicons\C\DefaultIcon, add or change the value named (Default), changing its current data of (none) to a user-specified value.

So do the same for whatever fixed drives you have ?????

For any removable drives - in their root put the icon and an autorun.inf file saying

[AUTORUN]

Icon="(path)\(name)"
