Akshay_M Posted August 14, 2019 Report Share Posted August 14, 2019 Follow the next steps to fix your USB flash drive unable to format error with cmd: Step 1. Connect your USB drive to the computer. Step 2. Go to open Command Prompt windows you can press Win + R to open Run dialog and type cmd, or you can type command prompt on the search bar. Step 3. Then type diskpart and press Enter. Step 4. Type list disk press enter to list all hard disks on your windows/citrix xendesktop computer. Step 5. Type select disk n and Enter, the N means your USB drive letter. Step 6. Type clean and Enter, then type create partition primary and Enter. Step 7. Then the USB drive got formatted if you want to format it to FAT32 by typing format fs=fat32 quick and Enter. RonPeters Posted August 30, 2019 Report Share Posted August 30, 2019 I found a quick fix. Hope this helps! Right-click the "My Computer" icon on the desktop and hit the "Manage" option. Click on "Disk management" to open Windows Disk Management. Select the Micro SD card, USB or flash drive that you need to format, right-click and hit "Format".
