Just re-networked a LAN for a 12 machine 2K server using AD with a laser printer and all the usual extras. Thought I'd change the CAT5 cables to CAT5e..WOW what a change. When you hit print the laser kicks in instantly and the internal traffic on the LAN is flying. Its going through a switch and the results are amazing.

If you are about to rig up a LAN use the CAT5e cables and you will see major results.

I recomend this to the house

Sounds great... I can't even print from IE at the moment :( Told the IT guy and he has made all sorts of understanding noises.... but I still can't print from IE. Not the IT guys fault by the way..... we have some weird contract with the suppliers of our kit here at work and a very complicated intranet set up.
