doug
Having erratic problems with, especially the on/off, keys. Don't fancy buying any of the all-in-one replacements. This is only because they don't emulate all the keys on the one being replaced. Anyway, I've taken it apart and cleaned the contact points (just printed patterns of conductive ink) with meths as well as lightly using a soft eraser (thats for any Yanks visiting). There has been an improvement but still not quite perfect in that you have to squeeze the button and roll it round until the set goes off, not quite such a hassle for turning it on . Any suggestions? doug
Nah. This set is going to be relegated to another room that will only be used infrequently so there's no point buying an emulator. Come on you DIY'ers.
Guest Grim Reaper
does this help??
doug
That last was a good one. I've been using method 1. Will give it another go. Failing that will have to look for some of this conductive paint. I do have a remote emulater used on another set - don't chuck them out if there's still life in them. I'll have to look the model up and try to resurect the manual - lost over the years. Thanks very muchly.

doug
I seldom watch the TV, nothing but mindless soaps and anyway If I am watching we use the armchairs. The settee is reserved for guests! The armchairs are closer to the fire. :D
