Guest Grim Reaper
GERMAN SITE wxperience.de said that Microsoft has mailed people telling them they can soon get hold of a "pre-release" copy of a disk that's supposed to fix problems in Windows XP.The patch disk, which the Vole calls Service Pack 2, contains security and performance improvements – which Microsoft calls enhancements – according to the letter. Those improvements include "security technologies" to guard against emals, Worms, and buffer overrun attacks. Also, Microsoft will bundle a better firewall, and will support "new processor technology" – we're not sure what that could be - sounds like one of Louis XIII's new Prescott instructions, or perhaps the famous "Rusted Computing" to come. It's only the selected few that will be allowed to test the test version of the program that will eventually be offered to all. the inquirer
Redhat
If it has any kind of "security enhancements" like TCPA, then no ta. I'll stick to me slackware 9.1 :)
