Craig Posted November 26, 2003 Report Share Posted November 26, 2003 I've just signed up to the AOL Free trial thing until my BB connection is back up and running.I dont like the AOL software, so is there anyway i can dialup the free phone number and log on to the internet without the software?I have tried creating a dialup connection with the information, but it doesnt allow me to log onto the network.I have found topics with regards to AOL BB, but not dialup. Sir Radfordin Posted November 26, 2003 Report Share Posted November 26, 2003 The answer is no.AOL don't use normal dial-up connections (AFAIK never have done) you will see that you have some different types of connections (Mini port wan I think) if you are using XP.The only choice is to dial up using AOL and then use your prefered browser with AOL minimised.
