Who did ? More to the point, why ? IMO, the British legal system can be bought. In fact, I know a guy who went to jail because the prosecution offered the judge more than his own offer. His barrister actually gave him a figure of what it would cost to buy the judge. You think I'm exaggerating ? I'm not. This goes very deep. The Labour party are very keen that fraud cases are not heard by a jury . Why is that ? The official reason is that juries are too stupid and preoccupied to understand the intricacies of complicated fraud cases. IMO, the reason is that fraud cases are where the big money is.
