Prince of Calcutta
if i use a particular font on my site, does it have to be installed on the computer of the person who's veiwing it for them to be able to see that font on the site? mmmbisto
Yes you do, I've found that with Craig's main site. On his computer it looks fine, but on mine it shows up as Times New Roman, as that's the default. What you could do though, is offer it as a download on your site saying that it's best viewed with the font, and also change the code:<basefont="yourfont, arial" size="3" color="#000000">So this then has your font showing if the person has it on their computer, but if they don't whatever font you have afterwards (all fonts divided between a comma) will show instead.Looks a lot better than Time New Roman! Ash
I'd use Verdana as a backup if you're using something else as your primary that is custom, or, better yet, use Verdana anyway - bestest font going :)
