Craig
Thats a nice monitor, but would be better as a 17" LCD display.I've been thinking about getting a second LCD monitor to go along side my current one. I would be nice to extend my desktop and have top applications in full view all the time.I use two at work together.
Prince of Calcutta
is that a single monitor in the pic i attached earlier or 3 seperate ones side by side?
Craig
It looks like they are all connected as a 3 in 1 model.
Prince of Calcutta
thats what i thought..quite unusual :) how much was the lcd screen that you're using now craig? maybe i can save up enough to get one next year :D ;) ;)
Craig
I got the dabs value 17" monitor this time last year.It cost £440 :o At the moment the dabs value 17" monitor has a much nicer design than mine, and it is cheaper too. The monitor i have has been made by AOC. At the time i had never heard of them, but as dabs were selling it, and customers had wrote good reviews about the monitor i decided to buy it.So far, no faults with it (except one dead pixel at the bottom of the screen). If you do go for an LCD, get a 17" (Same size as a 19"CRT). Its great for DVD's, gaming, graphics etc etc.
Guest PC Eejit
And if you do get an LCD monitor make sure it has a DVI input - the quality is stunning.
Guest spook
Looks like a Matrox parhelia advert (the latest matrox card that supports 3 screens). There are a few games that support this type of tri-monitor setup, Quake IV is one of them. You can see to your left and right as well as what's going on in front of you. Bit pricey though, not to mention the Parhelia's lack-lustre performance...
Craig
Just been to the dabs.comChecked out their value section, they have an AOC 17" TFT Monitor there for £285 :D Thats the first monitor of that quality i have seen under the £300 mark! Here Is The Link.If you have the money, i would go for the 18.1 option, take a look at the spec.Craig.
