doug
Previously was having problems which resulted in the error message to send or not send report to microsoft. Consequently, because I had installed it as an upgrade over Win 98SE, I took the plunge and re-formatted (ntfs) and did a fresh install of the problem application. This was successful. I am now trying to get my old Black Widow scanner up and running - it was working before the re-install, ref. the following link http://www.windowsforum.org/forum/index.ph...wtopic=7958&hl=I am now struggling again. Whever I try to install the driver's for this scanner I'm getting the dreaded error message again. This time it's more serious. Before the re-install it only crashed the trouble application (PSP) and closed it leaving everything else running. Now with the scanner it seems to have locked all the aplications on the desk top but thos on the task bar can still be launched. Whe I click on any desktop icon I just get a bonk from the speakers. The following I've extracted from the event viewer.Faulting application fasetup.exe, version 2.0.0.0, faulting module unknown, version 0.0.0.0, fault address 0x7ffe0304.Any suggestions? doug
But it was working with my Win XP setup before I re-installed it. Don't mind bluntness.
spikeychris
Agree with ellas its a nono. BTW do you play Fighter Ace as Faulting application fasetup.exe, version 2.0.0.0, faulting module unknown, version 0.0.0.0, fault address 0x7ffe0304 is related to it.BTW again. PM me your address and I'll shove a scanner in the post if you want, it hasn't got a USB but apart from that it works.
doug
Never heard of fighter ace, not loaded it as far I'm aware. Thought that would have one of the main advantages of formatting and re-installing to clear out all the rubbish. Will do a PM.
Guest ellas
it may be the that the ntfs wont accept it.
