annoyed by office 2000 optimization assisstant

Recommended Posts

A short time ago I had to format my HD, and obviously

reinstall w98 and office 2000.

Since, I have been annoyed by a popup window when

I have to restart the computer for somehow, that

shows up on the middle of the process, before it loads the DESktop.

The windows says- office 2000 optimization assisstant-

The process is supposed to be able to cancel by the user,

but when you click on bottom, it doesn't respond,

then you are forced to reset the computer....

sometimes twice and three times.... it really sucks,

Can you help me, and tell me how to solve this ?

write me soon pls.

All you really really want in Startup is Explorer and System Tray. Everything else is surplus to requirements or a matter of taste. As well as those two I let my antivirus and my firewall run at startup and that's it.

Yep, I see you've got 'Office' running there. Just uncheck its box , reboot and see if that popup problem goes away. After that you can uncheck a lot of those others and see if your boot is faster and if it makes a difference to your way of doing things. You can always put the tick back if it does. :)
