Guest Phil930
i have a high spec pc, Ath XP 1600, Ti4600, two harddrives (30Gb free on my windows XP one), 512 DDR etc, get the pic.anyway, i was playing C&C Generals and it was running like a dream, smooth as silk in 1280 x 960. then by the time i reached USA mission 5 the game started to slow down, becoming really jerky. it stuttered continuously, and this problem started out at the beginning of the next mission too.i turned the reso down to 1024 x 768 but it didn't rectify the prob. its pissing me off, anyone got any ideas as to why god gives me this great gift and then pulls the plug on it!!i have defragged my pc and disable the AV as recommended. although, in 3d mark my pc scores higher every time with the AV still running in the background, so why turn it off i don't know!!any help please!!!!! Guest Mundy
Hi Phil930, sorry you ain't gonna like this. According to EA's web site the recommended spec is 1.8 GHz! :o You might have to experiment with the settings to find the optimum for your system. Also I believe there are some patches out... they may help.It appears others are having the same problem, see the Generals Message Board sounds like more patches on the way... hopefully.
