  1. When I did the recovery using the Dell Restore on my computer, I had backed up all my data by cut and paste. Reason being last time new computer back up buggered - and checking to make sure all well on backup by bringing some across - also - yep - buggered. So wiped the external HD and cut and pasted. I had cut an pasted all once again recently and during this time SAS told me I had a trojan and scanned nothing, then remembered it didnt scan the E drive - so scanned it and found it leftover from a program I had uninstalled yonks ago. Now set SAS to scan the e drive - silly me. Anyway, looking then for something in documents straight after - found weird - most of them had gone and I had been cutting pasting etc at the time of the above alert and stopped. So somehow lost the data, thought never mind got in on my back up and cut and paste the whole file and deleted the old one but now windows has put my back up file within a new docs file it created. Meaning have to open it within etc. Not a bother but then thought make new one and what will happen - most likely seemingly it will then put it into the file it created meaning now got 2 files of documents. Do I have to go and cut and paste each file across individually do correct this> Also mucking about trying to import music into I Tunes - and moving it etc found on the window you get to move - I have got the same thing - not once but around 3 lots of music, video, pics, and docs etc etc. Can manage means looking here and there trying to get it into one place as have to guess which one t move it into and didnt guess right every time......... Or does this mean - start over again - do another Dell Recovery - that is if you can or maybe should do the whole thing with the disc maybe or as the computer is 2008 with 2006 XP Home version - maybe think about converting it buying say Windows 7 And if I did do that - would I then get a clean data change over or again cut and paste each individual folder? having cleaned out any oldies etc. Or as the Aussie dollar is higher than the US$ now around $1.04US - maybe buy a new tower with more memory etc and then cut and paste from external HD. What to do for the best - but options to redo this one up too. AS been good for a cheapie at the time bought it online as Vista was out and only dell loading XP which I was used too. And big enough for my needs Intel pentium dual 1 GB Ram and only using 25Gb of !45.
