  1. From Outlook 2003 to 2010, you might want to use IMAP with your Gmail account to get your mail MS-Outlook. First of all, check whether IMAP is enabled or not in Gmail. Follow the below mentioned steps to check/enable IMAP: 1. Log in to your account and go to Settings panel. 2. Click on Forwarding and POP/IMAP tab and verify/set IMAP enabled and save changes. Now you can add your account in Outlook, follow below steps: 1. Click on File tab >> Account Settings 2. Click on Add and Remove Accounts or change existing connection settings. 3. In the Account Settings window, click on New button 4. Enter your name, email address & password in Account Setup box. 5. Clink on Next button and follow on-screen instructions to complete the setup. Your Gmail account is added automatically in Outlook. You can configure IMAP settings manually also by following below steps: 1. Follow the first three steps mentioned above. 2. In the Account Settings window, select Manually configure server settings or additional server types. 3. Select Internet E-mail 4. In the Internet Email Settings window, enter your name, email address, and password in User Information & Logon Information section. 5. In the Server Information section, choose Account Type as IMAP and type Incoming mail server: imap.gmail.com & Outgoing mail server (SMTP): smtp.gmail.com 6. Click on More Settings button >> Advanced tab and verify/enter Incoming server: 993, Incoming server encrypted connection: SSL, Outgoing server encrypted connection: TLS and Outgoing server: 587 7. Click on Test Account Settings button. If all the above information is entered correctly, configuration will complete successfully. Now you can use Outlook for your Gmail account services.
