  1. For the last month, despite me being sure I haven't deleted any fonts from my system, certain windows display using a large clunky font, as if the one it should be using isn't there and Windows is using a replacement. In the first attachment, it's in the main window when using CCleaner - you can see the fonts on the desktop are normal. In the second attachment, Internet Download Manager's main window displays normally, but the fonts on the buttons are affected. I wouldn't have thought a system font would be removed when I was uninstalling a 3rd party program, but that's all I've done by way of deletion. Does anyone know of the font that should be used in the circumstances below, or able to identify what it is or how to change it back to the default? Thanks for reading.
  2. I recently installed some new fonts on my computer for use in photoshop. Now when I go to a forum I regularly visit the default font is different. It's all fat and blocky for some reason. (Actually this forum looks like its got the same situation too.) Whilst composing a message if I highlight the text and select Arial in the drop down font menu it changes back to the old way, but the default is still the blocky version. After posting a message it displays the old thin font which I prefer. I will take a screen shot to demonstrate. This is how it appears by default now, which I assume is supposed to be Arial. This has been highlighted and changed to Arial and appears as the older thinner version. This has happened before when I installed an old game - Age of Empires Gold. It seemed to change the way Arial is displayed in firefox, or it replaced the default font settings or something. Back then I solved the problem by doing a system restore to just before I installed the program. I like the old thinner Arial and want this blocky one gone. I'm guessing it is something to do with how windows chooses default fonts? or maybe its firefox? Really have no idea how to fix it, hoping someone can help me?
  3. I do not know how to change fonts to default. It looks horrible. Defaults were good. I tried couple of things but nothing is worked. Sample font. Sometimes in browser, half fonts are visible and even in scaled video player, too. check above images of youtube video player. Also check below font size in CPUz. In CPUz, I was not facing this problem before. I am facing after something happened/changed. I think I had changed default theme to Windows classic and back to default. Then, after I am facing this issue but I am not pretty sure. There is no previous restore point available.
  4. I usually do my beginner Java Console Practice using Command Prompt as the compiler. But there is a problem, my Command Prompt can't read ASCII. It's because there is no Lucida Console font in the Command Prompt. Previously I had installed Japanese Language bar to my Laptop, but it makes strange symbol in my Words, so I decided to uninstall it. But the Japanese fonts doesn't get removed. The " \ " symbol still changed into yen symbol. When I try to make ASCII with Java it didn't show up in Console. all becames " ????? " symbol. When I check the font, there's only 'raster font' and some japanese font. When I try to add Lucida Console from the Regedit, it can't be added. Please, help me with this problem. Thanks
