  1. I am running Windows 7, and the display used to be clear. While play Black Ops, it froze, so I switched the screen to the desktop. The display settings from Black Ops had not changed to the usual ones, so I had a black border around the screen and everything was blurry. I thought restarting the PC would fix it, but it dint. It stayed there permanently. I learned that the black border was because of overscan, so i set it to 0. After that, my screen was still really blurry. I looked everywhere but had no luck. my screen resolution was the same as before playing black ops, meaning that it was already at the usual resolution. I tried ClearType font, still nothing worked. All my restore points have been deleted somehow, so i cant restore my PC to a previous time. Changing the monitor settings dint work, so I've concluded that it must be something wrong with the PC Display settings. I looked everywhere and couldn't find anything. Is there any way to make it clear again?
  2. Hi there, I put together a system recently and have had errors since installing windows 7 onto the computer My Build is; i5 3570K Corsair Vengeance 8gb 1600mhz Seagate Barracuda 1TB Nvidia GTX 660 Now the Bsods' I've been having recently are: Driver IRQL not less or equal Pagefault in non paged area Kernel Security check failure All of these were read off of Who Crashed on Windows 8 and were the same errors I was getting on Windows 7 The BSODS happen at very random times, it's so odd infact that I can run CPU intensive applications like Prime 95 for hours on end just fine but then If I open up a browser and watch a video or something really basic, I'll end up with one of these errors. Even gaming doesn't give any BSODS, just happens at random times. I would really appreciate any help at all because I saved up for a fairly long time to build this computer and it's a tad annoying that I can't get it to work properly. Thanks very much, Yad
  3. Hey, just recently I've started getting BSOD's, even though no changes have been made to my system. This is really puzzling me, as I am able to determine what is causing it, but I have absolutely no idea how to fix it. The STOP error is 0x000000D1 (IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL), and the blue screen points to WmXLCore.sys as the culprit. Through my own investigations, I found that WmXLCore.sys is a Logitech driver for Logitech gamepad controllers. The BSOD triggers whenever I am playing a game using my gamepad, and it will happen randomly at any time during the game. When I discovered this, I thought it would be a pretty simple fix, but it appears that I was wrong. I've tried re-installing the drivers multiple times already, and nothing has changed. I feel that it is important for me to stress that this has never happened to me in the past. I've been using these Logitech gamepads for almost two years now, and I've had no problems in the past. The BSODs started up completely at random. I've been trying to find information on how to fix this for two days now, but I've given up trying to fix this myself as I can't find any reliable solutions. I've uploaded a bit of the minidump here: http://pastebin.com/jDFzeAtN The full minidump is available here: http://www.mediafire.com/?9uwtboe5lcpbpeh Links to the two gamepads that I use are here: http://www.logitech.com/en-hk/support/game-gear/7361 http://www.logitech.com/en-hk/support/game-gear/7359 I can upload any additional info if required. Any help whatsoever would be very appreciated!
  4. Just about 4 og 5 weeks ago I have been getting a error message, like I write in the title of this topic. My PC is an HP EliteBook 8730w with Windows Vista Business 32 bit. The screen card is ATI Mobility FireGL V5725. The driver is updated with the last known update (YY-MM-DD = 2009-03-06) and driver version 8.543.1.7000. I have been looking to several topics in the internet about this issue. Some people say that we must uninstall the windows fix KB952287, but others come with other sugestions. Why am I getting this error I never had before and what is best solution? Thank you Fernando The attach file have the error message in danish
