  1. Hello, I recently added two Windows 7 PCs to our domain. Created two new users in Active Directory and successfully added them to all groups necessary. Now, when I go to install software on those PCs, logged in as one of the new users, a message appears on the screen stating: *** "Installation requires administrative privileges to makes changes to your computer. Please retry installing this product and give the required permission when prompted. If you cannot give these permissions to install, ask your systems administrator." *** Some info on the setup: The new user accounts are identical to existing user accounts which do not have this issue. While the message instructs to input "required permission", the UAC box does not appear and I am unable to give further credentials. The immediate product in question is Office 2013, but this same problem occurs for other software titles as well. I've even temporarily added the users to the Administrators group in AD, but that still did not correct the problem. I CANNOT access the local admin account. It was locked down by a previous IT company who has since gone out of business and along with it the PW for the local admin account. I've tried circumventing this by force-ably extending the user's control/permissions, but any modification to such seems to be locked down and I get a similar message about lack of permission. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

  3. Hello, This problem occurred randomly today (mic worked before) I have tried my gaming headset (one with a green, a pink, and a usb plug) as well as apple headset with the green + pink jack adapter to see if the problem was the mic or computer. so anyways, i started with my mic not having sound in RaidCall but worked in Skype and in control panel the green bar still moves, then i tried the unplugging, rebooting, checking if anything is muted, and later on it just turns into nothing is working, the green bar no longer moves... so it basically went from only software not hearing sound to my computer not hearing sound at all. I have try many suggestions on google, - i am sure my mics are working - i am sure nothing is muted, the right mic is selected. - computer detects the mic when i plug it in, realtek pops up to ask if i just plugged in a mic in the pink jack - i have tried both the front and rare jack, multiple times, both not working - i have removed sound driver and reinstalled, didn't help i'm not sure what else i can check or adjust anymore... please help! I am running on Win 7 64 bit.
  4. I have a windows 7 bootable DVD. I tried to install it on my machine but the CD is not detected. I tried BIOS settings with boot priority and devices. Changed DVD reader. But that isn't working. if I open that DVD in windows explorer then all files are in place. Now when I tried to install with the same disk on another machine then it was successful. What could be the reason for this issue?????
