catgate
I may have missed something along the way, but I do not recollect having seen any reference to any prog. that will allow one to import a piece of text through a scanner and then edit it through a word processor. Does anyone know if such a miracle exists, and if so what it is and where it can be obtained?
Rebel=UK=
OCR (optical character recognition ) is what its called, i think your scanner needs to support it. i tried it out the other day on mine ...worked well

Optical Character Recognition... that is what OCR stands for and it is an OCR sort of program that you would need.I don't have one as I don't do this sort of thing but others might be able to recommend something.{edit-ahh, rebel edited his post... you don't need mine now really!! :) }
